Israeli forces open fire at farmers south of the besieged Gaza Strip

GAZA, Wednesday, August 24, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli forces stationed along the border with the Gaza Strip opened today their heavy machine gunfire toward agricultural land to the east of the town al-Qarara, in the Khan Yunis Governorate of the southern Gaza Strip, according to sources.

Sources said that forces stationed at a military site east of al-Qarara area opened fire toward agricultural lands, forcing Palestinian farmers to leave the area for fear of being injured or killed. No injuries were reported.

Israeli forces regularly open fire at Palestinians who come within several hundred meters from the border fence between Gaza and Israel, whether to work on their lands or to herd their cattle.
