JERUSALEM, September 15, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists established a new colonial outpost today, Tuesday, on the lands of the village of Beit Iksa, northwest of occupied Jerusalem. Located in the Khirbet al-Alawna area, this marks the second outpost established by colonists in the village within a four-month period.

Local sources reported that a group of colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, began installing structures and equipment in the Khirbet al-Alawna area. This move aims to impose a new reality on the village's lands, amidst fears that the new outpost will expand and seize additional areas of residents' land.

The establishment of this new outpost follows the creation of another outpost on Beit Iksa's lands about four months ago. This indicates an escalation in colonial activity within the village and a gradual attempt to seize more Palestinian land, particularly in the areas surrounding the village.

Residents of Beit Iksa fear that the new outpost in Khirbet al-Alawna could evolve into a permanent colonial and expand in the near future to encompass more land—especially given the security protection occupation forces provide to colonists during the establishment of these outposts.

The establishment of the new outpost poses a direct threat to residents' lands and property; it could prevent landowners from accessing and utilizing their land, in addition to carrying the risk of further land seizures and the construction of roads to service the outpost and link it to areas controlled by the occupation. For years, the village of Beit Iksa has been subjected to stringent occupation measures, including restrictions on the movement of residents, tightened control over village entrances, and the denial of free access to parts of their land—all of which has exacerbated the residents' suffering and hindered their ability to cultivate their agricultural lands.
