Weather: Hot to very conditions continue

 

RAMALLAH, September 15, 2026 (WAFA) – The Meteorological Department forecasts that today, Tuesday, the weather will be hot in mountainous areas and very hot in other regions. There will be no significant change in temperatures, which will remain about 4 degrees Celsius above the annual average.

Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed—occasionally picking up—and sea conditions will range from slight to moderate.

During the evening and night, the weather will be pleasant in mountainous areas and warm elsewhere. Winds will remain westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate—occasionally picking up—and sea conditions will range from slight to moderate.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, hot weather will persist in mountainous areas, with very hot conditions elsewhere. No significant change in temperatures is expected; they will remain about 4 degrees Celsius above the annual average.

On Thursday, the weather will remain hot in mountainous areas and very hot in other regions. Temperatures will drop slightly but will still remain about 2 degrees Celsius above the annual average.

On Friday, hot weather will continue in mountainous areas and very hot conditions elsewhere, with no significant change in temperatures, which will remain about 2 degrees Celsius above the annual average.

Throughout the coming days, winds will remain westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate—occasionally picking up—and sea conditions will range from slight to moderate. The Meteorological Department warned citizens against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during peak hours from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

It also warned against lighting fires in areas with abundant dry vegetation and against leaving children or the elderly inside closed vehicles, due to the danger this poses to their lives amidst the rising temperatures.
