WASHINGTON, September 15, 2026 (WAFA) – Human rights and pro-Palestinian advocacy organizations in the United States have launched a campaign pressuring the U.S. carrier United Airlines. The campaign demands that the airline stop transporting weapons, military equipment, and military-related materials to Israel on its commercial flights. It also calls on travelers to cancel their bookings and avoid flying with the airline until it accedes to these demands.
The campaign follows reports—based on shipping records—indicating that United Airlines passenger flights were used to transport thousands of shipments linked to weapons manufacturers and military entities in Israel. These included shipments destined for the Israeli defense firm Elbit Systems, which manufactures a significant portion of the military equipment used by the Israeli occupation army.
The campaign urges the public to exert economic and grassroots pressure on the airline by canceling existing reservations, refraining from booking new flights, and contacting company management to demand a public policy prohibiting the transport of weapons, military equipment, and materials to Israel—items used to kill Palestinians.
Campaign organizers also encouraged participants to share their stances on social media and explain their reasons for boycotting the airline using the hashtag #NoWeaponsOnUnited, aiming to broaden the pressure on United’s management and compel them to permanently halt these shipments.
