RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 14, 2022 (WAFA) – A Palestinian youth Thursday morning sustained injuries in confrontations with Israeli forces in Nabi Saleh village, northwest of Ramallah, according to security sources.
They said that confrontations erupted with the heavily-armed soldiers at the village entrance in the wake of the killing of five Palestinians within the last 24 hours in the West Bank, including a 20-year-old young man in Silwad town.
The soldiers used live gunfire to disperse the protestors, hitting one by a live round in the foot and rubber-coated steel round in the hand.
Meanwhile, the soldiers opened fire towards the students of Palestine Technical University – Khaduri in Tulkarm city, hitting one by a rubber-coated steel bullet in the eye.
Meanwhile, similar confrontations Wednesday night erupted at the northern entrance of al-Bireh city, close to the colonial settlement of Beit El.
Protestors torched tires and hurled stones at Israeli soldiers after the latter cracked down on a protest that set off from Ramallah in condemnation of the killing of five Palestinians by the military in the last 24 hours across the West Bank.
WAFA correspondent said that similar confrontations erupted on Wednesday evening at Bab Az-Zawiya in Hebron city. No injuries were reported though.
