QALQILIA, Friday, December 24, 2021 (WAFA) – A Palestinian was injured by gunfire today and three others detained by the Israeli occupation forces during clashes which erupted between the Israeli military and local Palestinian civilians in the village of Azzun, in the occupied West Bank province of Qalqilia, local sources said.
During the clashes, soldiers opened gunfire at some of the civilians, injuring one of them in his foot. He was moved to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, where his condition was described as moderate.
The Israeli occupation army also detained three Palestinian minors during the clashes in Azzun. They were identified as Mohammad Hashash, Imad Shubeita, and Saqr Saleem. The three are 16 years old.
In the meantime, clashes erupted between the Israeli occupation army and Palestinian protesters in downtown Hebron, in the south of the occupied West Bank. The soldiers fired teargas canisters at the protesters to disperse them, causing many cases of suffocation from gas inhalation.
