RAMALLAH, Wednesday, October 27, 2021 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today detained at least 10 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied West Bank, including two minors, according to various sources.
Soldiers detained two 15-year-old boys after raiding and searching their family homes in the town of Taqoa, east of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem, reported witnesses.
Also in the south of the West Bank, Israeli soldiers detained a Palestinian man from the city of Hebron, while two others were detained in Khureisa village, in the Hebron district, and one man detained during a raid of Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli military vehicles stormed Bir al-Basha village, southwest of Jenin city, where soldiers detained two members of the Ghawadra family and ransacked their family homes.
The detainees were identified as relatives of Yacoub Qadri Ghawadra, 49, one of the six prisoners who managed to escape from the highly fortified Israeli Prison of Gilboa in early September after digging a tunnel.
The soldiers also broke into the house of Qadri’s brother, 63-year-old Ali, assaulted him and ransacked his home. Ali required hospital treatment.
Israeli troops detained two other members of the Ghawadra family at a flying checkpoint, south of Jenin.
