GAZA, Thursday, September 2, 2021
(WAFA) – A Palestinian was today injured by Israeli military gunfire to the
east of Absan al-Kabeera
town, east of Khan Younis city in the southern
besieged Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.
He reported medical sources saying
that Israeli forces, stationed along the borderline in fortified positions and
military vehicles, east of the town, opened fire at a youth in his 20s, hitting
him with an “explosive” bullet in his left thigh.
The casualty was rushed to Nasser
Hospital in Khan Younes, where medics described his
condition as moderate.
Israeli forces deliberately target
Palestinians and farmers trying to access their lands and prevent them from
planting and plowing it.
Explosive rounds were banned
internationally under the 1899 Hague Convention because of the “unnecessary
injury and suffering caused from large bullet wounds.”
