JERUSALEM, Tuesday, August 17, 2021 (WAFA) – Israeli police today stormed a ceremony held in the town of al-Issawiya to the north of Jerusalem to honor Palestinian students who passed the ‘Tawjihi’ high school general matriculation exam.

Local sources said Israeli police and intelligence officers stormed the ceremony that was held in the Yasser Arafat sports stadium in al-Issawiya and prevented it from taking place under the pretext it was sponsored by the Palestinian National Authority.

Israeli police kicked out the participants and audience after threatening the organizers of the ceremony and closed the stadium gate.

Police further detained the head of the club Aziz Obaid.
