LONDON, March 12, 2012 (WAFA) – British Foreign Office Minister for the Middle East Alistair Burt Monday urged restraint following four days of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza and rocket attacks by armed Palestinian groups on Israel.
'I am deeply concerned by the recent escalation of violence in Gaza and southern Israel,” said the minister in a statement. “I condemn any attacks targeting civilians. I urge all sides to exercise restraint, re-establish calm and avoid any further civilian casualties.'
