AMMAN, May 11, 2010 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas received, today, a phone call from U.S President Barack Obama, in which he affirmed the U.S Administration’s commitment to making Senator George Mitchell’s mission succeed, in order to reach the achievement of a Two-State Solution, establishing an independent, viable Palestinian state living in peace alongside with Israel.
The two presidents agreed to focus on all the final status issues, especially, borders and security in the coming period of time, and abstaining from any provocative measure which would destroy confidence between the two sides.
President Obama affirmed his deep commitment to the peace process, for the benefit of the Arab, Israeli, Palestinian, American and international interests.
Obama affirmed that he is keen on meeting President Abbas in Washington in the coming period, to talk deeply about all the issues related to making peace.
