RAMALLAH, April 4, 2010(WAFA)- Ministry of Information said, “today 4th of April coincides the eighth anniversary of Israeli occupation's army aggression against Jenin Refugees Camp”.
It issued in a press release that, in the eight anniversary of aggression against Jenin Refugees Camp residents, who have already lost and uprooted from their homes, to find themselves living in an area of about 1 km2.
Eight years on the 'Jeningrad' battle and its massacre that carried out by about 5000 Israeli soldiers using all kinds of armor tanks and warplanes, which lasted more than ten days, against the civilian citizens of the Camp. Dozens of them died and hundreds wounded, as well as hundreds of homes destroyed, the Ministry said.
the Ministry stressed, while we remembered that sad occasion that distinguished by resistance and heroism, we at the same time remembered the crimes of the occupation that the International Human Rights' Organizations referred to, such as random killings, human shields, arbitrary arrests, torture, prevention of treatment and all kinds of oppression.
The Ministry of Information called on the international community, which raises the banner of human rights, not to forget the crimes of the occupation in Jenin Refugee Camp in particular, and the occupied Palestinian territory in general, as they are war crimes that their mental, moral, material and human effects are still to date. Thus, the criminals must be reckoned.
Finally, the Ministry praised the steadfastness of the citizens, who raised the slogan: 'We won't leave our land and our homes again, we will defend our homeland, as self-defending is a right guaranteed by international laws and conventions.”
