Father and son seriously injured in colonist attack near Hebron

HEBRON, April 28, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian father and his son were seriously injured on Tuesday evening in a colonist attack in Adh-Dhahiriya town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, according to eyewitnesses.

They said that Israeli colonists attacked the Shweika area in the town, and hit a father and his son with rifle butts and batons, inflicting serious injuries across their bodies.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
