Oil prices extend gains for eighth consecutive session

WASHINGTON, April 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Oil prices continued their upward trend on Wednesday, extending gains for several consecutive sessions.

Futures for Brent crude for June delivery rose by 52 cents, or 0.47%, to reach $111.78 per barrel, marking an eighth straight day of increases. The more actively traded July contracts climbed 0.4% to $104.84 per barrel.

Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for June delivery increased by 57 cents, or 0.57%, to $100.50 per barrel, after gaining 3.7% in the previous session. WTI has now risen in seven of the past eight trading sessions.
