GAZA, April 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression has risen to 72,599, with 172,411 injured since October 7, 2023.
Local health authorities reported that hospitals across Gaza received five killed persons and seven injuries over the past 24 hours.
They added that since the start of the ceasefire on October 11 last year, the number of Palestinians killed has reached 823, while injuries have reached 2,308. A total of 763 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble.
Medical teams also reported that a number of victims remain trapped under debris and in streets, amid continued difficulties for ambulance and rescue crews to reach them due to ongoing conditions on the ground.
