RAMALLAH, December 31, 2008 (WAFA)- The overall Construction Cost Index (CCI) for the West Bank excluding East Jerusalem declined to 108.08 in November 2008 compared to 110.08  in October, according to a report issued by the Palestinian Central Bureau  Of Statistics (PCBS).

Analysis of Construction Cost developments for November indicates decreases in certain costs. The largest decrease was in building iron cost (- 16.00%) followed by metal tools cost (- 2.29%) and the smallest decrease was in cement products (-0.53%) followed by aluminum and metal doors and windows (-0.73%).

At the same time, there were increases in other costs; the highest was in wages and labor cost (+ 2.87%) and in ceramic products (+0.70%) and the smallest increase was in the cost of hired equipment (+ 0.11%).
