HEBRON, April 14, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday detained former Waqf Minister Sheikh Hatem al-Bakri from the southern occupied West Bank city of Hebron, according to security sources.
They said that the gun-toting Israeli soldiers showed up the Charitable Islamic Association in the city, broke inside, and rounded up al-Bakri.
The soldiers briefly held all others inside, including WAFA reporter, Gaweid Tamimi, and interrogated them.
Meanwhile, Israeli special forces in a Palestinian-licensed vehicle sneaked their way into al-Yamun town, west of Jenin, and abducted a young man.
