Over 225 Palestinians Killed, 750 wounded, Olmert says: Operation Could Take Time

TEL AVIV, December 27, 2008 (WAFA)- 225 Palestinian citizens were killed and 750 others wounded,Saturday in a series of rapid and intensive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip, medical sources in Gaza said.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas strongly condemned the harsh aggression Israel is waging now against the Gaza Strip, calling on international community to intervene and end this aggression.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, said, Saturday, that Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip could 'take time', Reuters news agency reported.
