RAMALLAH, April 12, 2008 (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas received on Saturday in the Presidential HQ in Ramallah UN General Commissioner Karin Abuzeid.
President briefed Abuzeid on the latest developments in the Palestinian territory in light of recent Israeli escalation on the Gaza Strip.
President also appreciated the efforts exerted by the United Nations in the Palestinian territory to support the Palestinian people.
The meeting also tackled the situation of the Palestinian refugees in the Palestinian territory and in exile and ways to elevate their suffering.
