Next Month: Summit in Egypt to Follow up Annapolis Conference
JERUSALEM, April 9, 2008, (WAFA)- Member of Israeli parliament "Knesset" Yossi Belin revealed Tuesday that the US is planning for holding a summit in Sharm al-Sheikh resort in Egypt the next month so as to follow up what has been agreed upon in Annapolis.
In his speech in Geneva about the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, Belin said that the summit is to include US President Bush, Israeli Premier Ehud Olmert, President Abbas, King of Jordan Abdallah 2nd and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
In the same regard, Israeli newspaper of Haaretz quoted Belin as saying that the US administration, through such a summit, hopes it would bring the Palestinians and the Israelis closer.
