Bahrain Hopes Comprehensive and Just Peace Based on Arab Initiative
RIYADH, March 27, 2007, (WAFA) - King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, hoped on Tuesday that the resumption of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations on the basis of the Arab peace initiative would result in a comprehensive and just peace.
In a statement following his arrival to Riyadh to participate in the 19th Arab summit, King Hamad also hoped that the 19th Arab summit would have a united position serving all Arab issues.
He called for rallying more international support for the Arab peace initiative that was approved by the Arab leaders when they met in Beirut in 2002, in order to address the Arab-Israeli conflict on all tracks.
King Hamad hoped the resumption of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations on the basis of the Arab peace initiative would result in a comprehensive and just peace in the Middle East thus establishing an independent Palestinian state living side-by-side with Israel.
