Al-Tayeb Abdul Rahim: We Cling to Arab Peace Initiative
RAMALLAH, March 27, 2007, (WAFA)-Secretary-General of the Presidency, al-Tayeb Abdul Rahim affirmed Tuesday on the Arab adherence to the Arab peace initiative.
In a speech on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas, at the International Conference of Statistics and Development in Ramallah, Abdul Rahim called on all international bodies to refuse submitting to Israeli extortion as not to deal with the government or the distinction between Ministers.
He added that the Israeli side denies the presence of the partner as an attempt to evade from the commitments and even continue imposing siege on the Palestinian people, pointing out that the Israeli side aims at transferring and unloading the land of its population in order to implement the plan of entrenching the occupation.
Abdul Rahim stressed that the region is witnessing now moves and several meetings, and frequent talks about creating a conducive climate to explore prospects for putting mechanisms to implement the Arab initiative, adding that the situation is so far without results on the ground, but the continuity of separation, colonization, incursions, assassinations and more arrests.
He affirmed that there was an expression in the political terms of the dimensions of what are called the "game of three papers". We hope that these moves , meetings and scenarios to be true and fruitful and not prompted false or it is just a movement of public relations as they were in the past.
