Weather: Slight rise in temperature which remains below average

 

RAMALLAH, Monday, May 25, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today, the second day of the three-day Eid al-Fitr holiday, is partially cloudy and relatively cold, particularly in mountainous districts, with a slight rise in temperature which nevertheless remains around 3°C below the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Active northwesterly winds with occasional gusts are expected and medium to high sea waves.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 12°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 21°C and a low of 11°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 20°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 18°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A significant rise in temperature is expected tomorrow, Tuesday, the last day of the holiday, to approach 3°C above the seasonal average.

Wednesday’s temperature is expected to drop and become around the seasonal average, said the PMD.
