MADRID, March 31, 2026 (WAFA) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on Tuesday condemned the Israeli Knesset’s approval of a law allowing the execution of Palestinian prisoners.
Sánchez said on his official platform on X that the Spanish government condemns the death penalty against Palestinians recently approved by the Israeli Knesset, stressing that this is an asymmetric measure that would not be applied to Israelis who committed the same offenses.
“Same crime, different punishment. That is not justice. It is a step closer to apartheid," Sanchez wrote on X, urging the international community not to remain silent.
