Shack in West Bank village dismantled, taken away by the Israeli military

RAMALLAH, Thursday, January 09, 2020 (WAFA) – The Israeli army today dismantled a shack located on the main access road to the village of Ras Karkar, west of Ramallah, under the pretext it was built without a permit and seized it, said head of Ras Karkar village council Radi Abu Fkheideh.

He told WAFA that soldiers raided the area where the 30-square-meter shack was built, which is part of the area designated as C, dismantled it and took it away.

Israel does not allow Palestinian construction in Area C, which makes up more than 60 percent of the area of the occupied West Bank. Palestinians, however, continue to defy Israeli control over their land in Area C and often take the risk of construction in that area.
