RAMALLAH, October 4, 2026 (WAFA) - Several Palestinians suffered suffocation from tear gas fired by Israeli forces on Sunday morning as locals confronted an attack by Israeli colonists in the village of al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah. Israeli forces also bulldozed dozens of dunams of land planted with olive trees.
Local sources said colonists raided the eastern plain and released their livestock onto Palestinian-owned land, prompting citizens to confront them. Israeli forces subsequently stormed the area and fired tear gas at the residents, causing several to suffer suffocation.
Israeli forces also raided the village and detained several students as they were on their way to school. Earlier in the morning, soldiers had raided several Palestinian homes in the village, with no detentions reported.
Meanwhile, Israeli military bulldozers levelled dozens of dunams of land in the Shaab al-Louz area west of the village, most of which were planted with olive trees.
