TULKARM, October 4, 2026 (WAFA) - Israeli colonists assaulted farmers on Sunday while they were harvesting olives on their land in the village of Ramin, east of Tulkarm, stealing harvested olives and farming equipment and beating one of the farmers.

Witnesses told WAFA that a group of colonists attacked the Sonjok family and forced them to leave their land before taking their harvested olives, ladders and sheets used during the harvest.

The colonists also physically assaulted farmer Mujeer al-Din Sonjok and smashed his mobile phone, leaving him with bruises and contusions across his body.

The attack comes amid a heightened campaign of settler terrorism targeting for Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that more than 1,600 attacks by Israeli settlers resulting in Palestinian casualties or property damage were documented across 275 West Bank communities between January and August 2026, an average of 6.7 attacks per day.
