Israeli colonists assault Palestinian farmer harvesting olives near Nablus

NABLUS, October 4, 2026 (WAFA) - Israeli colonists assaulted a Palestinian farmer while he was harvesting olives in the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus, on Sunday morning.

Local sources said a group of colonists attacked the farmer while he was picking olives in the Mahfuriya area, on the outskirts of the town, beating him and stealing his harvested olives and farming equipment.

Palestinian farmers are facing increased difficulties during this year's olive harvest season amid escalating attacks by Israeli colonists, carried out under the protection of Israeli forces. The attacks have threatened larger portions of the harvest and restricted farmers' ability to safely access their land and gather their crops.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that Israeli forces and colonists carried out 2,051 attacks against Palestinians, their land and property during the previous month, including 1,404 attacks by Israeli forces and 647 by colonists.
