Israeli approves administrative detentions orders for five detainees from Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, October 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation courts have approved administrative detention orders for five detainees from the Jerusalem Governorate, for periods ranging from four to six months.

The Jerusalem Governorate identified the detainees as follows: Ayman Muhammad Abd al-Fattah Hawshiya from the town of Qatanna (four months); Ismail Musa Yusuf Taha from the same town (six months); Samih Fakher Fakhri Abu al-Halawa from Qalandia Camp (six months); Yusuf Abd al-Rahim Othman al-Khatib from the same camp (four months); and Nayef Ibrahim Nayef al-Mahdi from the town of Al-Ram (four months).

Administrative detention is an Israeli military measure that allows for the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial, based on a so-called "secret file," with the possibility of the detention order being renewed repeatedly.
