JERUSALEM, October 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces forced Jerusalemite resident Murad Ghaith today, Sunday, to self-demolish his home in the Ras al-Amud neighborhood of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Local sources reported that Ghaith was compelled to demolish his home—located on the upper floor of his family's two-story building—after being threatened with forced demolition and the associated costs and fines.

The sources added that occupation forces also prohibited him and his family members from residing in the home located on the building's lower floor.

Occupation authorities continue their policy of demolishing Jerusalemites' homes and forcing residents to demolish them themselves, as part of measures aimed at restricting Palestinians and pressuring them to leave their homes and neighborhoods in occupied Jerusalem.
