RAMALLAH, Thursday, August 22, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained early today 13 Palestinians in multiple raids across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, said the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).
Five Palestinians, mostly former prisoners, were detained during raids at their homes in the northern West Bank district of Jenin.
Local sources identified two of the five detainees as residents of Jenin city and two others as residents of Yabad town, west of Jenin.
In Tulkarem district, PPS said Israeli military vehicles raided Beit Lid town, east of Tulkarem city, where soldiers detained a 19-year-old Palestinian.
In Ramallah district, two separate Israeli military raids were carried out in Sinjil and Silwad towns, northeast of Ramallah city, resulting in the detention of two Palestinians, one from each town with the one from Silwad is said to be 18-years of age.
In Hebron in the south of the West Bank, PPS said a Palestinian man was detained.
In Jerusalem, Israeli police detained four Palestinians, including three former prisoners, after ransacking their houses in Issawiyeh neighborhood.
