GAZA, Wednesday, September 11, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli warplanes attacked early this morning several locations in the Gaza Strip causing damage but no injuries, according to sources.
They said the warplanes attacked a target in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, destroying it in total and causing fire while also causing damage to nearby buildings.
Jets also attacked agricultural fields in Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip and in Beit Lahya in the north.
It is believed a total of 15 missiles were fired at several sites throughout the Gaza Strip.
Israel said the attacks came in response to the firing of two projectiles from Gaza into Asqalan and Asdod in the south of Israel forcing the Israeli prime minister, who was attending an election campaign event, to run to a nearby shelter after the sirens were sounded.
