NABLUS, October 4, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists this morning attacked students as they were on their way to school in the town of Huwara, south of Nablus.
Local sources said a group of colonists attacked the students, prompting the students and their families to confront them.
The attack comes amid a continued rise in colonist violence across the occupied West Bank. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), more than 1,600 colonist attacks resulting in Palestinian casualties or property damage were documented between January and August 2026 across 275 Palestinian communities, averaging 6.7 attacks per day compared with five per day in 2025.
The number of communities affected during the first eight months of 2026 was nearly as high as the 279 affected throughout all of 2025.
