Israeli forces raze land from Deit Ingham town to expand illegal settlement

RAMALLAH, Sunday, February 17, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces bulldozed land belonging to Palestinians at the eastern entrance to the town of Deit Intham, north of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, said a local activist.

Saleh Tamimi, the coordinator of the Land Defense Committee, told WAFA Israeli forces, accompanied by a number of heavy machinery and bulldozers, stormed the said town and proceeded to raze the land belonging to three local residents.

He said this Israeli measure is clearly intended to expand the settlement of Halamish, which has been growing in the area at the expense of Palestinian villages ever since three Israeli settlers were killed in that settlement by a Palestinian attacker in 2017.
