RAMALLAH, Thursday, February 14, 2019 (WAFA) - The overall consumer price index (CPI) for Palestine during January increased by only 0.01% compared with December, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
CPI increased by 0.15% in Gaza Strip and 0.01% in the West Bank, while it decreased by 0.19% in Jerusalem, it said.
When compared to January 2018, CPI increased in January 2019 by 0.45%, an increase by 1.11% in the West Bank and by 0.40% in Jerusalem, while it decreased by 0.74% in Gaza Strip.
The changes in Palestinian CPI for January 2019 are traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:
