Eight Palestinians detained from West Bank

TUBAS, Wednesday, February 13, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained eight Palestinians and ransacked several houses in multiple overnight raids across the occupied West Bank, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) in a statement.

PPS statement said that Israeli military vehicles raided Tubas city, where soldiers detained three Palestinians.

In Jenin district, Israeli forces raided the northern West Bank town of Fahma, south of Jenin, and detained a Palestinian after storming his family’s house.

In Ramallah district, forces detained a 17-year-old teenager after beating him. The teenager suffers from a bullet that has entered his body.

In Hebron district, PPS confirmed in the statement that three Palestinians were rounded up from the southern West Bank district.

Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
