BETHLEHEM, Thursday, December 20, 2018 (WAFA) –Israeli settlers razed lands in the town of Battir, to the west of the city of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank, in order to open a road that would serve their settlements, a local source said on Thursday.
Hasan Breijieh, from the anti-wall, anti-settlements committee in Bethlehem, told WAFA that settlers opened on Wednesday a road in an area called al-Khamar, northwest of Battir, in an attempt to build a new settlement outpost after seizing Palestinian land, noting that the residents tried to stop razing their lands.
Breijieh added that al-Khamar area was recently seized by the Israeli authorities despite the fact that the owners have legal documents that prove their ownership of the lands.
