Two minors sustain injuries from Israeli army gunfire near Jenin

JENIN, June 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Two minors on Monday evening sustained injuries from Israeli army gunfire in al-Yamun town, west of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The PRCS said that its crews evacuated two children, both aged 15, to a hospital after they were injured by Israeli army live ammunition; one in the neck and the other in the thigh.

Local sources added that the occupation forces barged their way into the town, where they muscled inside and searched a resident’s house, closed a store, all while firing barrages of live ammunition and tear gas canisters.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
