SALFIT, June 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continued on Monday to tighten the siege on the village of Marda north of Salfit, by maintaining the closure of its entrances since last Friday.

Local sources reported that occupation forces maintained the closure of the two iron gates at the village’s eastern and western entrances. Additionally, they blocked all secondary dirt roads leading to the village with earthen barriers, severely restricting residents’ movement and worsening their daily hardships.

Sources added that villagers are forced to use a rugged dirt road connecting Marda to the neighboring village of Yasuf. However, they frequently face attacks by colonists who set up ambushes along this route.

In this context, sources indicated that a young man was assaulted by colonists yesterday while using this road, resulting in significant damage to his vehicle and forcing him to turn back toward the village.
