GAZA, June 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Five civilians were killed and several others were injured by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire on Monday evening while waiting for aid in northwest Gaza City.
Local sources reported that five civilians were killed and dozens were injured after being targeted by Israeli gunfire as they waited for humanitarian assistance in the northwest of Gaza City. This brings the total number of those killed in the Gaza Strip since early Monday to 56, including 38 killed while waiting for aid.
Medical sources confirmed that the number of casualties among aid recipients has now risen to 338 killed and 2,831 wounded since May 27.
Earlier, two civilians were killed and others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a warehouse in the town of Az-Zawayda in central Gaza.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has been committing genocide in Gaza, involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and rulings by the International Court of Justice to halt these actions.
The genocide has resulted in more than 184,000 killed and injured, mostly children and women, over 11,000 missing, and hundreds of thousands displaced, alongside widespread famine and destruction that have claimed many lives, including children.
