GAZA, September 5, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian child was wounded by Israeli forces on Saturday in the northern Gaza Strip.

A medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital reported that a child arrived with moderate injuries sustained when Israeli forces opened fire on a camp for displaced people in the Sudaniya area, northwest of Gaza City.

East of Gaza City, local sources reported that Israeli quadcopter drones dropped explosive devices on homes in the Mushtaha Street and Shuja'iyya market areas at dawn, though no injuries were reported.

This coincided with heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles positioned behind the Green Line east of Gaza City, targeting the city's eastern neighborhoods.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery fired several shells toward areas northwest of Rafah, while Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire on southern areas of Khan Younis.

In a related incident, Israeli naval vessels opened fire on the coast of Khan Younis.
