NABLUS, June 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces have continued their assault on the Askar New refugee camp, east of Nablus, since early Monday morning.

During the incursion, Israeli forces raided dozens of homes, causing widespread damage, and assaulted several residents, injuring some, who were subsequently transported to the hospital.

Security sources told WAFA that the Israeli military turned several homes into military outposts, detained dozens of residents inside them, and conducted field interrogations. The forces also imposed a curfew on the camp, sealed off all its entrances, and prevented residents from entering or leaving.

Israeli forces routinely raid the camp on a weekly basis, conducting home searches and detaining residents.

Alongside the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army and colonists have intensified their assaults across the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023. Official figures indicate that these attacks have led to the killing of 990 Palestinians, the injury of around 7,000 others, and the detention of over 17,500 individuals.
