GAZA, June 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli airstrikes targeted residential areas in Deir al-Balah and al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip on Tuesday evening, resulting in multiple civilian casualties.
In Deir al-Balah, a young man was killed, and several others were injured after an Israeli warplane struck a house in the city center.
Earlier, an Israeli airstrike targeting a tent sheltering displaced persons in the Abu al-Ajeen area resulted in the killing of two civilians and injuries to others.
In al-Bureij refugee camp, an Israeli airstrike targeted a house belonging to the Abu Shammala family in Block 10, leading to the killing of four family members, including women and children. Several others were injured in the attack.
Additionally, Israeli artillery shelled the area along Street 5 in northern Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, causing further destruction and casualties.
Local sources report that since the early hours of Tuesday, approximately 80 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire and airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, with 65 of the fatalities occurring in Khan Yunis.
