Colonists destroy irrigation network, farmland in Salfit

SALFIT, June 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Tuesday vandalized an irrigation system and farmland in the al-Matwi area, located between the towns of Bruqin and Salfit in the western part of the Salfit Governorate.

Bassem Abdel Aziz Rizqallah, the landowner, told WAFA that colonists destroyed the irrigation network of his agricultural land and wrecked crops of mallow planted across more than one dunum.

Rizqallah estimated his loss at over five tons of produce, emphasizing that this is not the first attack on his land.

In previous incidents, colonists had uprooted avocado and apricot trees in the area to pave roads connecting the Israeli colony of Ariel with a newly established settler outpost on land belonging to the nearby village of Far’ata.
