TOKYO, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 (WAFA) – Japan called on Wednesday on the Palestinians and Israel to resolve their issues through negotiations rather than violence.
Commenting on the situation in Gaza over the past two days, Japan’s Press Secretary Takeshi Osuga expressed his government’s deep concern about the rise in tension in Gaza and surrounding areas.
“Japan firmly believes that the issues facing the two parties, Israel and Palestine, cannot by any means be resolved by violence, and that they can be resolved only through efforts of both sides to build mutual trust and through negotiations between them,” the press secretary said in a statement.
“Japan urges all parties concerned to exert their maximum efforts toward resuming the peace negotiations,” said the secretary, calling on all parties concerned to exercise maximum restraint.
