NABLUS, June 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Wednesday evening closed the main entrance to the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, for the fifth consecutive day, according to WAFA correspondent.
He reported that dozens of colonists, protected by occupation forces, stormed the main entrance to the village and performed Talmudic rituals, obstructing movement to and out of the village.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces sealed off the iron gate at the main entrance to the village.
Colonists had threatened to demolish more than 20 homes in the village, located on the main road linking the cities of Nablus and Ramallah.
Late Sunday evening, colonists shared posts on social media, calling on the occupation army to demolish Palestinians’ homes and infrastructure on the main street of the village.
They also announced that they would demonstrate every evening at 7:30 PM at the main entrance and close the village until the demolition is carried out.
They also posted online material inciting against the villagers, particularly the schools located on the main street.
Over the past 12 days, Israeli colonists sealed off the village's main entrance seven times.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
