RAMALLAH, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Minister of National Economy Mohammad Alamour on Wednesday received 30,000 tonnes of wheat in humanitarian aid donated by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the government.
Minister Alamour received this donation of grain in the presence of the head of the Russian Representative Mission to Palestine, Buachidze Gocha Levanovich, noting that the full amount would be delivered by the end of next week.
The donated grain would be totally allocated and redirected to the war-battered Gaza Strip once the process of grinding the wheat into flour and packaging the flour is completed, and all associated administrative and logistic procedures are finalized as per President Mahmoud Abbas’ instructions.
Minister Al-Amour hailed the donation as an embodiment of the deep historical Palestinian-Russian relations and a sincere expression of Russia’s unwavering position in support of the Palestinian people’s rights.
He reiterated that the Palestinian people would remain steadfast and cling to their land in the face of the Israeli military machine and forcible displacement plans, and called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to compel Israel to halt the genocide and allow unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip.
Head of the Russian Mission Levanovich affirmed his country’s long-standing position in support of the establishment of the independent State of Palestine in line with international law.
