RAMALLAH, June 11, 2025 (WAFA) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev reiterated his country’s firm and principled support for the Palestinian people and their right to establish an independent state, during the opening of the Fourth Tashkent International Investment Forum.

In his address at the forum, which runs from June 9 to 12 in the Uzbek capital, President Mirziyoyev condemned the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

“There is no justification for the death of innocent people before our eyes in the 21st century,” he stated. “The only viable solution is a just settlement based on international law and United Nations resolutions. We firmly support the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state and call for an end to the war in Gaza.”

The State of Palestine was represented at the forum by its Ambassador to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, Jawad Awad, who participated alongside heads of state, prime ministers, and senior officials from numerous countries and international organizations.

The forum focused on investment opportunities across key sectors such as green energy, digital economy, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, strategic resource development, project financing, legal coordination, and regional integration.
