GAZA, June 11, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinians in Gaza City and the northern war-battered Strip are facing a total communications blackout for the second consecutive day, according to Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA).
The TRA said in an official statement on its Facebook page that given the ongoing Israeli genocidal aggression on the Strip and razing of civilian infrastructure, Gaza City and the northern Strip suffered a complete blackout of Internet connectivity and mobile service.
This came after Israel bombed the main internet line connecting Gaza to Israeli networks, cutting off journalists, emergency responders, and humanitarian organizations from the outside world.
The TRA said that it was following up with all partner actors to carry out the necessary coordination for repairing the main fiber line and infrastructure route that resulted in the blackout and urged all relevant authorities to immediately intervene to help achieve this.
Since the onset of its genocidal aggression on Gaza in October 2023, Israel has intensively bombed internet and landline services and denied the entry of fuel necessary to operate the electrical generators, resulting in such blackouts.
