Israeli army shuts down family business of Jerusalem attacker

JERUSALEM, October 11, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Tuesday shut down shops in the town of al-Ram, north of Jerusalem, that belong to the family of Misbah Abu Sbeih who was shot dead by Israeli police on Sunday after he shot and killed two Israelis in Jerusalem.

Israeli troops raided the town and cordoned off the area where the Abu Sbeih shops were located before they sealed them shut with metal bars. The Israeli military left a written notice ordering the stores to remain shut down until December 11.

Residents clashed with the Israeli forces, who responded by firing live ammunition and stun grenades at the stone throwing protesters. Several were reported injured lightly.

The army presence and activity in al-Ram forced schools to shut down for the day, said residents.
